A nature wanderer by calling, and an educator and naturalist by profession, Amanda is excited to lead nature excursions through her new company, Sea to Sky Guiding (2024). Her personal mantra “you don’t know if you don’t go,” fuels the passion and curiosity that helps spur each unique endeavor.
Being a female solo traveler herself, Amanda is especially passionate about getting other women and solo explorers outdoors and immersed in a safe, authentic experience. She is also deeply dedicated to educating others about the importance of interconnectedness, mindfulness for the wildlife, their habitats, and human impacts on both. She always hopes to inspire the desire to preserve the natural resources that are unique to each bioregion.
No matter the “where,” each nature outing is tailored to provide an unforgettable experience, connect participants to nature, wildlife, like-minded people, themselves, and allows each person the unbridled freedom to slow down, breathe, and just be.
Amanda has been teaching courses, giving talks, and guiding wildlife walks, boat-based tours, and other nature outings since 2017 through multiple organizations and programs. She has a soft spot for the Salish Sea orca communities and an infectious admiration for birds.
