Where does Sea to Sky Guiding, Guide?
Sea to Sky Guiding is located in Skagit County, Washington, near the shorelines of the Salish Sea, the beauty of the valley, the Cascade foothills, and a short distance from the San Juan Islands, Mount Baker, North Cascades National Park, and other wonderous, outdoor recreational areas spanning many different environments and ecological niches. This area is the perfect place to “get your feet wet” when stepping into the outdoors, but our excursions also take us beyond the PNW!
Land-based excursions in Skagit, Whatcom, north Snohomish, north Island, and *San Juan counties in 2, 4, *6, or *8-hour timeframes. Local boat-based programs are 3-7+ hour excursions.
Full day excursions (6-10 hours) will allow for exploration in areas around North Cascades National Park, Mount Baker, south Whidbey Island, Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, and more!
2+ day excursions will allow for exploration in other areas and regions around Washington State with Olympic National Park, Forks, Westport, Ridgefield, and Ellensburg being just a few excursion areas to highlight.
Sea to Sky Guiding’s trip leader has had the privilege of living in, traveling to, recreating, boating, and birding in select states that offer amazing outdoor opportunities and feature bird and wildlife species that are not typically found in Northwestern Washington environments. Guiding through specified areas in the highlighted states on the map (blue) is an exciting opportunity to get people exploring in areas they may be unfamiliar with and/or have never thought to go for nature and wildlife.
Whether stepping into nature for the first time, or a seasoned wandered, Sea to Sky Guiding commits to connecting you with the natural world—as safely and as comfortably as possible—leaving you feeling confident in the adventure and fully immersed in the experience, when through.
What people are saying about their experience:
*all photos were taken by, and are the express property of, Amanda Colbert & Sea to Sky Guiding and are not for use without written permission and proper photo credit. Nikon cameras paired with either a Tamron 150-600mm or Nikkor Z 100-400mm with x2 teleconverter were/are used. All photos were ethically obtained (no feeding or harassing wildlife, no trespassing, no destruction of habitat, as well as all state and federal wildlife viewing laws and guidelines were adhered to). I use telephoto lenses to minimize my disturbance and impact on the wildlife I’m viewing; I’m a naturalist first, and an amateur photographer second. Those that choose to venture with Sea to Sky Guiding must abide by the same code of ethics.
